Attention Parents and Adolescents

4Keeps is partnering with Researchers at innovation, Research & Training (iRT).  We are looking for adolescents that have been diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome or other disorders on the fetal alcohol spectrum (FASD) and their parents/caregivers to participate in a research study.   The researchers are evaluating the AWARE Program, a new, online education program for adolescents that aims to provide youth with FASD with new ways to regulate their behaviors and feelings, make healthy choices, and prevent the use of alcohol or other drugs.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

An adolescent with FASD (aged 13 to 18 years) and their parent/caregiver.

Must have a diagnosis of an FASD with an IQ of 70 or above.

At this time,  only including one teen participant per family.

BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATION INCLUDE:

Access to a program designed specifically for adolescents with FASD that can be done at home, at your teen’s own pace and time.

Earn $60 each for teen and parent/caregiver for time spent completing different aspects of the research project.
